Day 4 – The race is on!

D4-WF1-10055 boats from 10 nations were at the startline when the race commitee fired the gun for the first race of the 38. edition of the Micro Cup, the Micro Cupper World Cup 2014 in Berlin. The wind forecast was right, a 10 kns breeze from the NE delivered good sailing conditions. Race 1-3 are finished, please notice that the results are provisional because there are protests by competitiors.

Day 4 – Hoist your sails!

Today the first warning signal for the 1th race for the 38th Mirco Cup – Micro World Championship is scheduled at 10:30. The wind forecast is 10-14 kns from NE so there should be no probleme for the race commitee to run 3 races.

Day 3 – Practice race

After the skipper meeting leaded by the International Race Officer Andreas Schorr (GER) and the Chairman of the International Jury Peter Stucki 50 boats left the harbour for the practice race on the race area Große Breite. 10-14 kns from NE, perfect conditions for the Micro Cupper fleet from 10 nations. Immediately after after the start signal there was a general recall because many teams have been over the start line early. Race officer Stefan Abel did not waiste any time and pulled out the black flag for the second start.  POL 90 showed great form and finished first after 65 minutes racing with was visit by the tall ship en minature Royal Luise .
